swissminers.net is a non-profit
organization that represented crypto mining companies and interested
individuals. In 2011 we have experimented by mining Bitcoin with field-programmable
gate arrays (FPGAs), months later with the first GPU-based
mining rig. In the end of 2013 we have continued with the Bitmain
Antminer S1, the very first ASIC
Bitcoin
miner on the market. To minimize noise and energy costs, the
devices were immersed in food grade oil. We mainly operate our mining farms in countries with low energy costs and produce the electricity ourselves thanks to wind, hydropower and solar energy.
